Now Bank It!
Paul Cristofani - Sustainable Development and HSSE Manager, Shell Refining (Australia) Pty Limited (AUS)

Paul Cristofani joins us from the Shell Geelong Refinery where he is the manager of Sustainable Development, Health, Safety, Security and Environment at Shell’s flagship manufacturing site in Australia. Paul studied Sustainable Development at ANU in the late 80s. Since then he has developed and run environmental and SD projects, programs and key policy areas in local, state and federal government - though not necessarily in that order!

In industry Paul has held national positions driving Sustainable Development in the agricultural and mining industries. This followed on from one of Paul’s other passions, using the media to raise environmental awareness. Before children Paul and his partner grew their successful environment program ‘Seeds of Change’ from 2NURFM in Newcastle over four years, winning a national award for broadcasting excellence. It also lead Paul to regular grillings as a talkback guest on the ABC’s Triple J Morning Show at the end of the 90s.

Paul will share what he and his teams have been doing to drive cultural and behavioural ‘mindfulness’ by combining HSSE drivers and advanced engagement and influencing skills at Shell. Paul will share how this approach can extend into direct business benefits in employee engagement in all aspects of the business, from reputation to reliability and from personal efficiencies to operational discipline.
